Our Board of Directors provides the leadership of S4S and have multiple backgrounds and expertise

Mr. Pierre Harter - Chairperson

Chairperson

Mr. Pierre Harter is the Chairperson of Sustainable for Seychelles, where he provides leadership and guidance in promoting environmentally responsible initiatives across the islands. Through his role, he supports efforts focused on sustainable living, renewable energy, and community awareness to help protect Seychelles’ natural environment for present and future generations

Mrs. Marie Therese Purvis

Vice Chairperson

Mrs. Marie Therese Purvis has been a Member of S4S since 2008, currently serving as Vice Chairperson of its Board. She is an education specialist with a PhD in school improvement. She has worked for over 25 years in the Ministry of Education and now represents civil society, and S4S in particular, on the UNESCO led national working group for Education for Sustainable Development. Through S4S, her contributions include integrating environmental education in the National Curriculum, developing waste auditing processes in schools and the National Assembly, and creating educational materials on sustainable living. She remains committed to advancing sustainability which she believes is a necessity.

Mr. Eric Frank

Treasurer

A dedicated and detail-oriented professional, Mr. Eric Frank serves as Treasurer for Sustainability for  Seychelles

Mr. Jude Mousmie

Secretary

Mr. Jude Mousmie is a recent graduate of Corvinus University where he earned a MSc in International Economy and Business. He is currently working as a civil servant and has a strong passion for environmental sustainability. Mr. Mousmie has recently joined S4S where he is looking forward to actively contributing to community-based green initiatives and promoting environmental awareness. He believes that even the smallest action, like a single pebble can move a mountain.

Dr. Michelle Martin

Board Member

Dr. Michele Martin holds a PhD in Environmental Studies from York University in Canada.

Ms. Iris Carolus

Board Member

Ms. Iris Carolus is a consultant with 28 years of experience working in Environmental Law and Policy. She is a founding member of S4S and has extensive knowledge of national environment legislation and policies .She focuses on project writing, waste and climate projects, and stakeholder engagements.

Ms. Sophie Morgan

Board Member

Ms. Sophie Morgan is a multidisciplinary consultant and educator with expertise in climate and environmental policy, creative arts, and language education. Through her work with S4S, she has contributed to public communications, workshops, and the implementation of sustainability-focused projects. Ms. Morgan also supports the general running of the organisation, bringing clarity, coordination, and emotional intelligence to team efforts. Her approach reflects a deep commitment to transparent project management and community-driven change.
